/usr/share/ubiquity/plugininstall.py looks for /proc/swap and fails if a
user uses a custom kernel that has no swapping enabled (i.e. on some
custom arm bioards people use such a setup, which is admittedly a corner
case but can happen)

I have been running the test program in several machines and it seems
that the bug only appears on those with the new intel processors i3 and
i5 (I couldn't test it on i7 as I don't own any one) but machines with
older processors (Intel core2 duo, AMD athlon, opteron, etc.) are not
affected.

Following the update to Ubuntu 10.04 today (30 Sept 2010) nothing
happens when I click on menu entries (File, Edit, etc) or on the
Bookmark/Newsfeed buttons. Back/Fwd/Reload/Home icons do work. Entries
in the address bar do not bring up a list
