probably, but I found another cd, and it works. It looks like the fix
just implements the manual fix behind the scenes, and doesn't really fix
the under lying problem. If you delete the title and artist, and hit
extract you get a bunch of errors that make no sense.

Had the same problem on a Sony Vaio VPCF12C4E with 10.04, solved adding
i8042.reset i8042.noloop kernel parameters.
After upgrading to 10.10 RC the problem persists and the above
workaround no longer works.

I can confirm that this bug also exists for me on an Asus laptop with an
Nvidia 360m card. Gnome loads, and I hear the sound play, but the
desktop is garbled. I am unable to switch to any tty's to gather any
logs. Tried using multiple usb sticks and verified their integrity

I have confirmed this bug to exist on my machine running the 10.10 RC.
Wireless would start ok out of the box but would work for no more than a
few a minutes. Blacklisting rt2800USB solved the issue.

This happens with a real printer as well; gimp-Epson C86 - it prints a
blank page. Note the page prints incredibly quickly - so it's not as if
it's misrendering it, it's just spitting the page out.

No guarantees? Why would ubuntu include an application that cannot do

It is slow. 100% CPU is used while scrolling.
On windows, scrolling is very fast in chromium. In firefox scrolling is

Trouble with bug-reporting towards local midnight: I lied in a couple
important ways:
1. I noticed this because it was *continually* flooding dmesg in my
first boot into 10.10 RC; the halt of the messages at [ 335.695389] was
seen on a later boot, and suggests this is an intermittent issue;

interesting. can you please also try to playback that stream with
'ffplay' from the 'ffmpeg' package?
FWIW, it works for me, but -demuxer lavf did so as well, so I'm curious.

I'm now seeing this problem for the first time, also after applying the
latest update to 2.6.32.-25. I was in the middle of filling out a post
in FireFox when the screen flashed and dumped me back to the login.
Killed all of my open applications. I can't trust the computer anymore.

for example user's LANGUAGE is set zh_CN:zh_TW:zh_HK:en_US:en_GB
and in gdm he/her set to en_GB
can we do it like this:
gdm set LANGUAGE to
en_GB:zh_CN:zh_TW:zh_HK:en_US
or even
en_GB:zh_CN:zh_TW:zh_HK:en_US:en_GB
it is simple and can work.
