Thats strange. Yesterday I upgraded Ubuntu 10.04 to the current release
candidate 10.10. After the final reboot I noticed the known headphone
problem. The internal speakers didn't mute after I plugged in my
headphones ... But now, everything works fine and I'm not able to
reproduce the error. In t

My WWAN stopped working today, probably due to installation of a new kernel on

I was getting a similar error (io_schedule/sync_buffer, filesystem
unusably slow) on a c1.medium EC2 instance. I removed irqbalanced and
rebooting and quickly crashed like this:

problem. Couldn't this plug-in be looked at for clues as to how they
bypass the issue and use that in shotwell?

The low graphics mode issues was due to GDM missing (somehow removed by
the python uninstall although i see no dependencies) Anyway, this issue
is now fixed so i'm a happy camper. The bug is still unsolved, but
uninstalling python works!

My model: Sony Vaio VPCF12Z1E.
It is possible that this bug has an relationship to the following bugs: #655078

I figured out what was wrong in my case; The 1855 chassis doesn't have the
right cpu flags to operate as a fully virt hardware. Thanks for taking a look,

Just to offer some final closure on this, I just now tested the same
upgrade path, from karmic -> lucid -> maverick and it completed
successfully with the new version.
I am working on filing another bug report to try and figure out why the
config files are showing up as having changed when they ha
