I have linux mint 10 julia x64 everything works except for my backlight

I had the same problem with d doing a show desktop.
My work around was to go System/Preferences/Keyboard Shortcuts.
Look down the list of shortcuts on the right until you find d. Click
on it until it goes to Disabled. At least then you can do stuff !

This was working (bound to Button10) before I upgraded to Xubuntu 10.10,
now no matter what I do it reverts to AltButton1. As well if I set it
to AltButton3 it asks if I want to disable Window Menu that is already
bound to AltButton3, but when confirming this nothing has changed;
