I also have to deactivate all desktop effects (they are usually set to normal)

unref the WindowMenus instance, causing it to be destroyed.

appear...
However the notification applets on the far right of panel (network,
sound volume, mail/chat, me menu and power button) do not respond to
mouse clicks.
Unity bar seems to be working ok except for very little indication

from DbusGProxy is only fired when the proxy is destroyed, and not when

I have the same problem upgrading from 10.04 to 10.10 on my Gateway
NV79. Booting with kernel 2.6.35-24 has this problem. Booting with
