Workaround: set browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab to false. If you
close the last tab, a blank tab is created and the window / FF will not
be closed.

Public bug reported:
In jockey, activate nouveau driver, reboot.
Now in jockey activate nvidia-current, reboot.
After reboot, nouveau is still used.
In jockey I can read "driver nvidia activated but not used" and for "nouveau":
driver used.
Thanks for your help.
LGDN.

I experience this problem often when working with medium to large log

Maybe this is an -nvidia bug, but if so there's not much we can do about
it at the distro level. So I think this would be better to be reviewed
by the g-p-m guys first.
If it does turn out to be something to do with -nvidia particularly, it
should be reported upstream - see
http://www.nvnews.net/
Yes using that microcode fixed it. Note that my /lib/firmware already
contained iwlwifi-6050-5.ucode

Hi Doug,
Thanks for reproducing the issue on two computers. I could understand
the X process consuming more memory but it's a bit weird that even
client apps take more memory.
Do you happen to know if this is a regression from the previous -nvidia
(from the xserver 1.9 days)?

This is also happening to me, exactly as described by the original

any change in scroll position. Happens regardless of (Gwibber) theme.
