I re-compiled the package with some extra information (added
strerror(errno) at varoius places). The reason for the failing 'local'
process is in src/util/open_limit.c, where the call to getrlimit (yes,
*not* setrlimit!) fails with EPERM. That's really strange!

When watching a video in Totem/VLC/xine, the image contains a horizonal
displacement. The displacement edge drifts slowly over the image. If I
switch off Xv (with gstreamer-properties) the problem vanishs (but the
frame rate drops down, too).
I use an Ion chipset, the v270

Text in the Nimbus Sans L font looks normal in the edit view of a
presentation, but squashed in the slide show.
The default Liberation Sans font is not affected; I do not know if any
other fonts are.
Observed in amd64 Natty (LibreOffice);

Yes a screencast would be helpful. Further 10sec delay for autohide does
not seem realistic to me at all that delay would rather cause
distraction. When you use unity for a few days you discover that when
the launcher is revealed the right way is to hover over the launcher and
not leave it.
