Additional info from the duplicate bug report that appears to be relevant
and/or different to the details in this bug:
The issue is occuring on a clean Natty amd64 install on a new partition with
/home on another partition (shared between multiple OS partitions - the others
are running 10.10)

It seems to be caused by the wireless network (I use an airport
express). I can't get it to freeze when I connect by wire. Both
WifiSyslog.txt (see attachment) and kern.log show (the same) error
messages just before it freezes, see for example at May 9 10:25 or May
9 10:42. They're slightly differ

I upgraded to Natty from Merekat (no problems with Blender 2.57) but
when i started Blender the language is Chinese ( i think). I also
tried the install in Voidcodes post above, but still get Chinese (i
think) instead of English default.

David - That is an error condition that would prevent a 2nd eCryptfs
mount from happening. I don't think that is the cause of the problem,

After adding a new launcher in the Unity launcher, if the application is
started, the launcher isn't able to recognize if the application is
currently running or not and won't show it as running being required to
logout to have a proper functioning.

With unity-2d I don't see a way of selecting the main monitor so the
unity bar is positioned on the left most monitor which is not always
preferable...

Err, my post got butchered somehow.
To be specific, i would have expected grub bootloader be installed on
both members of this raid mirror (/dev/sda and /dev/sdb)
Instead it failed with minimal output at either terminal (4) or in
installer window. No useful troubleshooting messages appeared.

I believe Samba was working fine before the upgrade. All I did was run the
upgrade and the bug was reported at the end.
I also found 3 or 4 other problems which I hope have been or will be fixed
soon

During install from both 10.04 64 bit alternate cd and 11.04 64 bit DVD,
text mode- i cannot set a parition marked as 'raid' type to bootable.
When i press 'enter' it simply flickers but remains 'no'.
Perhaps this has to do with metadata type?
