Basic pen functionality works, but single touch finger touch does not.

OK, after more debugging and reading ubuntu sources I found the precise
reason and how to workaround it.
Reason: Ubuntu's method of creating the 32bit versions of these packages for
the 64bit ubuntu has a bug (see debian/rules of ia32-libs). It does not
recompile the libraries, but simply take

my laptop (I set my system to blank the screen when the lid is closed)

Sometimes, after opening LibreOffice Calc (the only I use), the
functions of the shutdown switch (on the right upper side) did not work
anymore (wether Quickstart is enabled or not).

Adding DEBCHANGE_DISTRIBUTOR to /etc/devscripts.conf does not work.
Further invesigation showed it to be a bug in /usr/bin/debchange, namely
that DEBCHANGE_DISTRIBUTOR is missing from an array of config variables.

Since the upgrade to 11.04 my webcam does not work at all. Cheese can't find
any device either.
My relevant dmesg part below. I'm not an expert, so I don't know what does the
last line means but definitely an error message.
