The work around worked for me.
In my case the volume level always started at its original level after
installation, even after turning off and on again.

I'm quite surprised that there are as many as 13% common strings between
ubuntu-docs/oneiric and ubuntu-docs/natty. Essentially ubuntu-docs in
oneiric is completely and entirely different to ubuntu-docs in natty. I
cannot comment on whether the approach used to produce this figure is
valid.
Still same. Finally i gave up and did fresh install of 11.10. Now i will
install all extras and see if new issues.
