I had the same problem and I'd say the real bug here is that on upgrade the
file /etc/apparmor.d/usr.sbin.mysqld was not updated to allow access to
/run/mysql.[pid|sock]
Reinstalling the mysql package simply replaced the old mysql apparmor profile
with the new one that contains the correct

that in a dual-monitor configuration, the top panel is displayed only on

(a) the windows appear to stutter in a jerky way?; or
(b) tearing is visible (horizontal lines where moving windows look sheared)?; or
(c) that they smoothly lag a long way behind the mouse pointer?; or

failure to connect to some wifi networks is not just for droid X
hotspot, it appears randomly for me. Some Wifis work, some don't and for
the ones that don't network managar keeps asking for the password over
