Sorry about that. I was using the python3 branch. I did not realise
that it was allready merged into master.

I tested 14.23+apu06 and i've got the same problem.
I boot each time on 3.0.0-13 (#22) for install the new one for test and
this one works but with no internet connection.
Maybe i have to reset some configuration, isn't it ?

I did various tests, installing, opening different types of documents
(not only open documents), unistalling, reinstalling and so...
1) Removing from command line works fine (force version in Synaptic is a pain
and didn't work).
2) Ppa's solution works for icons on Launcher.

There's still no kind of stereo ouput in the list of output sinks.
Isn't the analog-output-mono profile what you had before 0ubuntu5 as
well, and was working sufficiently well for you? Even if its name is
mono, it'd give stereo output just fine.

I would like to emphasize that the fix above also solves a problem with wine
applications:
Popups/popdowns have been misplaced, which was a new bug in oneiric. (Most
often they popped up in the upper left edge of the screen).

I find a manual solution, I don't know if this will work a lot of time, but for
the moement it works.
The proble come from the some attribute of the Version label in the
/var/lib/dpkg/status file.
For fix this, a little sed 's/Version: v1/Version: 1/' on /var/lib/dpkg/status

when booting into single user mode and start lightdm in terminal i get

I figured out that disabling the Logo elsewhere called splashsceen (in
the file /etc/libreoffice/sofficerc set Logo=0) does the job. funnily
enough this really cancels all problems (no more messing around with
bamf or lo-menubar). So the major bug is about the splash-screen messing
up something in

handlers. In 11.04, this lookup was delegated to gvfs which looked up
the handlers from some keys in gconf. In 11.10, glib was changed so that
gio uses the same mechanism that already exists for

build, and the display still turns off after selecting Try ubuntu without
installing from the liveCD, as this blocks starting the user interface at all.
