The shortcut for this under the Shortcuts page of the Keyboard panel is not
set, setting it there solves the problem.

I'm seeing a similar hang sometimes when coming out of S3 as well. This
just happened a few minutes ago. The compiz stacktrace this time was
identical to the one above. I'm attaching .xsession-errors, which I note
has a lot of failed to get previous touch value warnings along with
some others.

Till: Yes it seems to work _if_ I manually remove printer-driver-foo2zjs
(only hp-firmware is run) and optionally re-install it (both hpljP1005
and hp-firmware is run, latter actually works). But out-of-the-box after
the first time when plugin is installed, it's broken (only hpljP1005 is
run).
I've been waiting for an i386 build of RC5 to appear in the directory
but it hasn't. Should I try RC4 instead or keep waiting until a newer
i386 build appears? AMD64 isn't supported by the processor.
Unfortunately I didn't make a note of when exactly the issue began. But
