This problem seems to be way more prominent in Unity-2d than in Unity.
In standard Unity I can notice that the rendering is a bit different but
not in a too distracting way. In Unity-2d it is ugly as in the example

For about a week the update manager crashes while initializing the
package information.
I'm a bit helpless because a bug report (using ubuntu bug) could not be
generated and apt-get update does also not work. I will provide any
information I have and will do furhter analysis
The description is incomplete/misleading; in my case at least the bug
was that re-unmuting sound effects after muting them had no effect.
After poking with it a bit, I think I just isolated it: it only happens
when instead of unckecking the Mute checkbox on Alert volume you
reset the slider and
It happens when I try to connect to Mikrotik V2.9.26 and secure mode option in
winbox checked. If I uncheck this option, I can connect without a problem.
Connecting to V3.20 is without a problem both with and without secure mode
checked.
