That's a workaround, not a fix. I have noticed since I upgraded to
Quantal that it is a little easier, but it still isn't great. I use a
trackball and have to almost a full spin of the ball to get my windows
to go from one screen to another.. That seems much too hard.

I have tried this 5 times from clean installs to get phpmyadmin
installed properly on a Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal (POWERPC) server. I go
through and have no problems installing Apache2, PHP5, MySQL but when i
go to install phpmyadmin my output looks like this:

Yes, it is still an issue in 12.04. It gets corrected after installing
nvidia-current package or setting "nomodeset" during live Cd / Usb boot.
