I am also experiencing the same problem on the NC6400 running Ubuntu
12.04. I believe that I have found a duplicate bug in launchpad, see
Bug #998379.
Is there any possible/planned fix for this issue?

Sandra, do not get irritated by the Fix Released message for Quantal,
please carry on testing.
Perhaps you should also do a test in a Quantal live system, simply
