ASUS USB keyboard model: AK1D is not working

I went deeper into it and discovered that things are working as they
should (maybe not fully). Lenses do lazy load (after 30secs?) but if you
interact with any of the unity component after booting they get loaded.
for instance when you start unity and click on the launcher icon for
gnome-terminal

there are other ways to login to the system, fine. That doesn't prevent
