result of hitting enter in the edit window. If my review stays entirely
on one line, it works, if I hit enter, then it fails.

With quantal I still have problems, like jabastien above. Pressing the
power button pops up a dialog where only the shutdown button works. The
suspend button does nothing. When I pick suspend from the menu in the
top right corner the computer will enter suspend mode. Ideally I could

We've tried
I'm trying to reproduce with an upstart job that immediately reboots,
but it's not working. Could be (a) there was actually a memory error on
the host, or (b) reproducing it requires interacting with lightdm/unity
before rebooting.

I can confirm that this is definetely NOT an issue caused by
suspend/resume. Moreover I think it's an issue often occuring on
battery. It's often happening after a clean boot on battery.

I've resolved this issue in upstream blktap-dkms, and pushed the updated
deb package to the xcp-unstable PPA [1]. The fixed version is blktap-
dkms-2.0.93-1ubuntu1~quantal. The upstream source repo is here [2] if

Getting this problem again on the 12.10 beta-1 install image; happens
prior to the Try Ubuntu / Install Ubuntu screen display, so anyone on
this hardware trying 12.10 is going to be pretty frustrated.
Workaround is to close the lid (suspend) and open it again (unsuspend).
From that point on,
Upon calling create Volume Group a few checks are done.
One of the check is Volume Group name collision.
This could be valid (duplicate name, pre-seed mistake, etc) or it could be a
zombie Volume Group that got detected on otherwise empty partition.
There is a codepath to remove existing volume
While the bug is displayed in partman-auto-lvm, I believe it could be also
reproduced in the manual partitioning.
Also I'd rather fix the bug where it happens, instead of working around it
higher up in the auto partitioning.

I still suffer from the issue described above even after various kernel and
libvirt updates

Same problem here.
I can get it to launch without crashing or hogging the memory by
changing the QT theme to Motif (damn ugly) OR by running
LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 picard, which I thought was the perfect solution
until I resized the window and it crashed and started sucking the memory
