Debdiff for powerpc FTBFS attached. I've tested a build manually using
qemu-user-static as I don't have access to a powerpc machine at the
moment. This fix is upstream and appears to work.

Yes, thanks. That happened to me last night too, but the way it hung
made me wonder if utah or kvm was crashing.
But I see what is happening - I think the lxc.postinst which sets up
dnsmasq may be messing up the host's networking. I think I do still
need to set /usr/sbin/policy-rc.d.

To update the ticket, I've reproduced using 12.10 KVM machines (have
attached tcpdump and leases file as requested).
As described previously, iPXE gets a different IP address to the OS
image. Seems iPXE sends a DHCP client-id parameter and the OS doesn't.

Certifying 12.04.2 on this system. Plugged an HDMI monitor in that also
supports audio out. The audio output never appears in the sound-settings
tool so there is no way to get HDMI audio.

X trying to start before plymouth has finished

After upgrading to raring, my Lenovo Twist has begun to freeze and
crash. Sometimes I am able to switch to vt1 to restart X, sometimes it
just hangs hard. In all instances the behavior coincides with the EQ
overflowing messages in Xorg.log. One saved X log
isn't it upstart issue? I removed it and it's booting and working good.

Hmm, X is indeed only setting up 2 pipes. The question remains is
whether it is cloning one of those pipes to multiple outputs - it should
be possible with the HDMI outputs. You don't mention which display is
upset, which would be helpful. Can you also gather a drm.debug=6 dmesg
