Title:
I think that this bug is affecting me at boot. I am having a very slow
boot (2 minutes approximately), with some nslcd timeouts. After that,

I'm suspecting an issue with nested=1... the nested VM does eventually
boot but it takes many minutes to do so. At this point, the cpu usage of
qemu-kvm drops to reasonable values. But if you ssh into the vm, the
usage jumps up to ~200% again.

I also have the issue with my Savi W700 not showing up as an input

I'm seeing this bug from various distros now, not just Ubuntu. I tried
reporting to kernel.org, and have just received to responses.
I have since installed kernel-3.5.0.38. Its the last one that works, which is
from quantel The raring kernel-3.8.0.28, is the one that breaks USB.

This package isn't seeded for Xubuntu. We didn't ship this in 13.04 and
we apparently do not have this seeded to ship for 13.10. A quick look
at the seed shows we do not have this blacklisted but we just do not
include it on the disk.
Options for resolution:

only some of the time? Looking through the dnsmasq manpage,

Since update to 3.8.0-27.40 kernel I have been seeing these errors on an
almost daily basis. I run two Windows Server 2012 instances under KVM.
One or both of the Windows instances will disconnect from the network
when this error happens and will not reconnect until I reboot
