I am sorry for the slow response on this. I had a chance to test the
packages, and it appears that they have been broken by a change to
another package: qemu-system-x86 deps on ipxe-qemu, which appears to
have been superceded by ipxe.
The packages are uninstallable in proposed.

definitely an issue with my sources or the mirror (kernel.org) I was
using, as I was able to successfully upgrade from precise's qemu to

My laptop is HP ENVY dv6. Since the upgrade to 13.10 WiFi isn't working
reliably anymore; today I'm using 3.11.0-14-generic kernel . The only way I can
manage to work around the WiFi los is by changing the authentication method on
our AP to WEP(!). Any other authentication is broken.

been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an
issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development
release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from

update is available for your BIOS (219). If you update to this following

If not, could you please both specify what happened, and
I'm also affected. Ubuntu 13.10 64 bit. Freezes between GRUB and login
if I set graphics to discrete card.

Using Ubuntu Gnome 13.10 (fresh install), with English + Hebrew keyboards.
Still have the same problem - mostly changing the layout (in the indicator and
by keyboard shortcut) not working.
Some time its just work.
