have experienced some serious issues when switching from virtual terminals.
It's very easy to reproduce, open steam bigpicture or any other fullscreen game
and press CTRL+ALT+F2(3,4,5,6,7,8), you

option. I have to manually hold the power button in for 5 seconds. Where did it

1) Some library it's linked with has been fixed/changed
2) Some compiler change has made it go away
3) Perhaps the bug is still there but only triggered if unlucky due to data

This affects me as well. I can second that disconnecting the dongle,
restarting the headset and reconnecting the dongle appears to fix the
issue. I'm using Logitech G930 with Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, freshly installed,
dual-booting with Windows 8.1.

USB audio), I am able to get one of two USB audio devices working
(Turtlebeach AudioAdvantage Micro = CM102-A+/102S+ Audio Controller,
lsusb ID 0d8c:0103) . This proves snd-usb-audio is loaded and

shutdown-reboot loop still persists. Moreover, after the shutdown-reboot

I think I have a lead on this problem - it appears to be solved for me
(no problems in the last 24hrs) but the solution is a little bizarre
and points to a deeper problem:
power devil also appeared to have a problem since the updates sometimes
being unresponsive and has been reporting this
Actually using Kubuntu. All I have to do is use nomodeset on first boot
after install. After that it boots normally without it.
This nouveau bug is present on 14.04 testing, on each daily install.

I tried using the kernel version that came with the released version of
12.04 (on an original install base of 12.04.3), but that seemed to cause
stability problems.
So instead, I installed the original version of 12.04, and that seemed
to work without reporting any problems.
I then installed
This bug existed as of 13.04 for sure. 12.10, not sure, but I can't
install that on my laptop as it's a production laptop with work on it.
What else can we do to move towards a solution for this bug??

Retested on 13.10 32 bit updated as of 20-Dec-2013.
This is now working correctly.
After boot or after resume, you can start flightgear and the pedals
work.
This bug can now be closed.

Does the file /usr/share/locale/all_languages exists?
If so, please attach it, then install the package debsums and run
`debsums -c`, also attach the output of the command.
If not, please run `sudo apt-get install --reinstall kdelibs5-data` and
check whether that brings back the file and

In a very unhappy coincidence, I just installed Ubuntu 13.04 on a
completely different box running the Radeon HD 7480D video driver and
I'm getting the exact same problem.
