At first I thought it was lack of lubuntu-desktop (and the crap it installs
like OBSOLETE xscreensaver) that was the problem, but I did apt-get install
lubuntu-desktop and after that the upgrade still failed.

should be verified and then forwarded to Debian.

I can't print pdf (10 Mb) file in evince. And it seems that it correctly
processed. At least it disappear from print queue without any errors. On
printers lcd is showed something like Processing... Wait (on Russian) and
nothing has happened after.

I'm just marking this invalid because (a) it only effected Ubuntu GNOME
before it became an official flavor, and (b) I've not seen the issue in
Raring, Saucy, or Trusty.
