I tested on a KINGSTON v300 and a v100 and everything works fine.
I used the discard mount option as it seems to be the most efficient to detect
this misbehavior.
And then I started:
sudo apt-get build-dep libreoffice; apt-get source -b libreoffice
It worked fine, I also tried with periodic fst
I know this is an old bug, but it still affects 12.04 LTS and I just ran
into it. The LIBOVERLAY_SCROLLBAR=0 workaround does work.

Marking as fixed, my problem was caused by stale 13.10 PPA packages.
Thanks to help from mgedmin on #ubuntu-gnome, I could revert to main
repo packages with this one-liner:

and i can now see my wireless networks, but it doesn't ask me for the

Using BIOS Boot menu was able to boot from the Ubuntu disk - this did bring up

Hi, I got a similar problem today after running
> apt-get dist-upgrade
to upgrade to 14.04.
After running it my desktop cannot show up when reboot.
However, I found I can still use Cirl+Alt+F1 to go to tty1 and login using my
user account with root privilege.
