As Heikki and James mention, replacing light-locker helps. In my case I
removed light-locker light-locker-settings packages and installed gnome-
screensaver package. gnome-screensaver locker looks much nicer than
xscreensaver IMHO.

It seems to me that problem is in nvidia/nouveau drivers. Switched to
Intel card and no lockups so far.
The problem is clearly upstream of Ubuntu as it affects a number of
distros with that kernel/nVidia driver combo - yep, seems so.

The patch may no longer valid as HP changes some of their BIOS
behaviours for wireless hotkey. Do you have any problems other than
wireless hotkey?
After kernel 3.6, Linux kernel returns true for _OSI(Windows 2012),
and wireless hotkey triggers different event (not WMI). A different

I tested sunpinyin by fcitx and ibus.
This bug appears in both input methods. So there may be no problem in the
packages of fcitx and ibus.
For sunpinyin-data, there's no differences among raring, saucy and trusty.
