server and did not restart it.

Update: I have found a workaround by .config/compiz-1 and .config/dconf
(I have a backup of the .config/dconf if this might help to debug this
issue, but not the compiz one, sorry). This makes the screen behave
normally again...

common to the desktop stack, but that's not the case.
The feature we want to land in indicator-sound is part of bug 1368827,
that allows the user to control the volume per audio roles (not only
