gsmartcontrol now has issues scanning SCSI or Firewire devices. When an
external FireWire drive is attached to a computer, gsmartcontrol can only be
started with:
sudo gsmartcontrol --no-scan
But, when Ctrl-R is pressed for a manual scan, program exits with error:
in image smoke testing for touch we have a test called systemsettle it
checks the idle state of the system before and after a test run by
iterating over the top values (it doesnt actually use top but reads
directly from /proc) ten times ... if the average idle value for these
ten runs is not above

I installed LTSP 5.5.2 from ppa: bennabiy/testing
(5.5.2-r2585+P1210+201408 290311~ubuntu14.10.1), and I get the same
result running ltsp-build-client. pxelinux.0 is missing.

Just to sum up: If we reforge the authentication screen into a similar dialog
as we currently have for WiFi password input, then it can sit basically
anywhere in the UI.
This would allow to sit it even on top of the greeter because users will see
what is in the background and it would be the
