Kernel 3.18-rc3 breaks my SSH server (the machine fails to accept TCP
connections on port 22), which stops me getting my work done. Right now
I don't have time to investigate the SSH issue, so I've had to just
revert to 3.18-rc1 (and reboot the machine when the WiFi fails!).

Yes - you have to set the mtu on the lxc container interfaces to match
the bridge, otherwise it drops to the lowest MTU of any attached veth.

also in older versions of ubuntu (this problem has always been there
ihmo).

I've looked at bug #1283979, and I have never experienced that problem,
nor have I seen others mention it in this bug. I don't think they are
related.
