Evince crashes consistently,
When upgrading from Trusty to Utopic, I see this same error repeated
many times, though it doesn't seem to have had any negative effect (so
far).

and running the demo for wxPython 3.0.0 works fine if I use this

What i have done:
Started XUbuntu live USB (created with Startup Disk Creator on Ubuntu)
Chose to create my own disk layout.
I have setup unencrypted /boot partition
I have then created an encrypted area the size of the rest of the disk
At this time i was unable to create
Lubuntu after manual upgrade from 13.10 - 14.04

Yep, it doesn't seems like anyone is really interested in this bug,
although it has been given a 'High' importance. I wouldn't blame
Canonical though, most people fixing bugs are doing this in their free
time and aren't Canonical employees.

As Jan Rathmann mentioned this issue went away for me when I removed a
video DVD (not mounted). Interestingly the issue popped up whether I had
a USB key in or not. Some drives were on my desktop, but not mounted. In
my case I have a blueray player (not DVD player).

Sorry I'm the debian and ubuntu maintainer, I was experiencing this bug
something like one year ago, I reported it upstream, and they fixed it.
I tried again yesterday and it was reproducible.
I thought it was a regression,
