That's right - if you install from the software center in Ubuntu 14.04,
it hangs and you get a failed to install error, but if you download the
deb package from the Steam web site and install it in Terminal it works

This is the new version with proper (smaller) resolution of one
wallpaper, the package has only about 14MB now.
If it is possible it would be wonderfull - to satisfy the requirements
of the Ubuntu guideline for wallpapers - to keep the quality of the
wallpapers (not to change the JPEG compression
I attached a patch which partially fixes the problem for version 0.9-1. The
problem is a probably a redesign of the imdb homepage. Unfortunately, the
developer didn't add any comments about the expected input, which makes it
complicated to find out how the new commands should look like.

Yep, it looks like we're getting a player with a NULL state somehow,
which is crashing when we try to convert that into a variant for sending
over the bus. (1) we should sanitize our inputs better, ie modify the
state property setter to disallow NULLs. More importantly, (2) we need
to figure out

enablement stack as outlined in

Background information: the main problem is the nvidia driver. I have also
freezes at boot with the last line stating ACPI: Video Device
Unfortunately with this hardware I cannot use builtin Intel GPU because it
does not drive any of external video ports.
