Opening the camera for the first time leads to reboot

I have an external sound card--A Topping VX2. When plugged in to USB,
the device seems to keep Ubuntu from booting properly. It hangs until I
remove the USB cord from the device, then Ubuntu boots normally.
Once booted, the device can be recognized by Ubuntu, but then seems

I think this will happen if we receive a Super_L key press event but
never a Super_L key release event.
Which would be a lower level bug in arale's input drivers (or mir at
most).
This is not such an unlikely scenario. I think I've seen arale's home
key miss sending some events in the past.

I like the idea of having all the function under one finger. So I like the menu
in a photo. However I still can see there some possibilities of not killing the
idea of usability and making more space + expanding usability
OK so it might NOT be gnome-related. I've had a few of these crashes
using Unity now. Attached is syslog that I was able to get after
connecting an HDMI monitor via the external Dell usb-3.1 adaptor which
exposes an HDMI port.
Luckily ? while this did crash it didn't kill the machine, so I got
2 updates: 4.5.0-next-20160321: bluetooth self-starts like 4.3.6 used
to. I still need to open device manager to maintain connections, but I
no longer have to manually search for already paired devices.
The "failed to obtain..." messages are in journalctl not dmesg. Sorry

AFAICS, the quilt patches in Ubuntu mongodb 1:2.6.10-0ubuntu1 apply with
only offset, not fuzz. This is allowed, so refreshing wasn't necessary.

3. Close gallery-app
4. Re-open gallery-app
Expected result:
gallery-app launches showing the last opened view, Photos view in this case.
