@adconrad The update does not fix the issue, at least it does not if the
installation already is wrecked:
[timwolla@~ [1]]dpkg -l 'snapd'
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Inst/Conf-files/Unpacked/halF-conf/Half-inst/trig-aWait/Trig-pend
|/ Err?=(none)/Reinst-required
Seriously people, get over yourself. Here's what the init script did on
restart:
ifdown -a --exclude=lo $verbose
ifup -a --exclude=lo $exclusions $verbose && ifup_hotplug $exclusions $verbose
All the rest is message output, checking for /etc/network/options and
other boilerplate stuff.
I can also confirm that manually installing 4.4.9 fixed the problem.
Installed the following .deb files for my 64 bits system:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v4.4.9-xenial/linux-headers-4.4.9-040409-generic_4.4.9-040409.201605041832_amd64.deb
