things by attempting to remove /etc/mysql completely and then
reinstalling, but not purging and reinstalling mysql-common as part of

output of the command (as user) 'pactl list sink-inputs':
- as soon as you unlock the phone
- as soon as you type few digits in dialer-app (step 4 of my previous comment)
This could tell us if the issue is about roles

and fixed in newer kernels that adding a workaround rule to the policy

Actually I have an AMD card, a RX 480 but I use a proprietary driver too
(amdgpu-pro 16.30.3-315407) so maybe there is something that works fine
with VLC and Mesa but not with other graphics implementations.
If I find some time I will try to compile VLC from git and see if the
crash still occurs.

I hit this same problem as well, to simplify this issue, there should be
an exposed cloud "part" defined in the parts wiki right here

I have the same issue: no sound on a Recon3D / CA0132. The sound chip is
an onboard chip labelled Sound Core 3D, the motherboard is a
GA-X170-Extreme ECC. This is on Ubuntu 16.04.
Alsa / Pulseaudio claim everything is good, but there's no sound coming
out of it at all.
dmesg | grep hda shows:
