Looking at the history for this case, the SRU got rejected by pitti
(Comment #29) because of a v-failed on the fix for LP: #1568485 which is
also included in this SRU.
Since then, LP: #1568485 has been verified and is now fix-released.
There is no longer any reason to hold on the trusty
I removed the nautilus (Ubuntu) task since technically this does not
appear to affect the version of Nautilus in the archives. The Ubuntu
Desktop team has enough bugs to deal with that eliminating PPA-only
issues is a help to them.
The GNOME 3 Staging PPA for Ubuntu 16.04 LTS should have
Hello Kyle, or anyone else affected,
Accepted sudo into xenial-proposed. The package will build now and be
available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/sudo/1.8.16-0ubuntu1.2
in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Attached is the debdiff from another approach to updating the package.

I tried but nothing has changed.
I then tested ubuntu 14:04:05 and are now about 15:10.
in all "situations" this alert is present :(

Short answer: neither the xenial nor the yaketti branches where created
on launchpad so the importer can't keep them up to date.
If you're the package maintainer, you're free to create those branches
though
