You can already receive XMPP messages if they aren't encrypted with some
work behind the scenes using the terminal. But it would be great if we
could send messages, use OMEMO encryption and have a better UI to do
more things that XMPP allows/requires.

The backslashes were caused by a bug in cups-browsed (package cups-
filters) which I have already fixed before release of 16.10. So after
once removing these entries manually, they should not show up again and
show the crash should not occur again.
But in general, CUPS has no sufficien protection
I'll just cross-reference bug #1584310 , which explains why this is
needed within the Kubuntu-flavor. Whereas the Developers are urgently
waiting for the package to start on Minuet packaging.

I've found I can get Unity8 to render in virt-manager (Qemu/KVM) with
Display set to Spice and Video: QXL.

Aha, thanks. The thing is that locally installed XFig complains about
using an old app-defaults file (the one installed by a package), and
asks to fix it by "make install" though that only puts the respective
file into the /usr/local dirs. Thus XFig should advise to copy that Fig
file into the main
Made a mistake in the previous patch. It should only affect logging, as
far as I can tell, but I shouldn't break that either. Fixed the error,
made a new debdiff - I'm sorry I wasn't more careful the first time
around.
