I've been having the same problems on a gigabyte p57 xcf3. Bug #1665530
also reports this. Currently I am running the latest bios for this
laptop, Ubuntu 16.10 and kernel 4.10.1-041001-generic.
Initially I did not have the "i8042.nomux=1" parameter.
I guess it is not only Unity problem. We have 8 Ubuntu Mate 16.04 64 bit
computers with Libreoffice 5.2.x and default JRE and in all PCs Zotero
crash both Firefox and Libreoffice (Firefox is not crashed but it can't
be stopped without killing it). There are no problems with
Openoffice.org. There

It is several months that this bug has been confirmed and still no fix
is available. This is the typical bug that prevent people to switch to
linux as desktop. This is not a minor bug, a lot of people use bluetooth
audio with laptop/desktop. Who cares of new features if people still has
to fight
I have a similar problem - I am not able to install NVidia drivers
(drivers not work correctly after install) and I have to use open
drivers instead of. The open driver makes problems in some games.

FTBFS fix that sets the cups library as the last param to gcc.
The debdiff is between 3.0.1-3, so the changelog chunk will not apply
cleanly to 3.0.1-2 (currently what has been synced from Debian), but it
is an easy fix. I would recommend syncing zesty to cups-pdf 3.0.1-3
anyway.

Sorry Evren, my only issue is with this 'blank screen' error. HD speed
tested with HDPARM and it looks fine. Also did not notice any problem
with keyboard, or touchpad. WiFi installation was smooth. Current
version of the kernel is 4.4.0-66-generic. Updating did not get things
worse. Nor better in

This may or may not be relevant... but i did notice in the release notes
for the 5.6.35 version of mysql (the version now being used by our
ubuntu 14.04 update)... it looks like work has been done on the
mysqld_safe script and use of chown is removed. Is it possible the
necessary security
