I have exactly the same. can't access my University's vpn on my new
laptop running 10.04. vpn works without any issue on another laptop
running 14.04.

After many tries, I was able to successfully install it. After a couple
of days, my computer was acting weird again, so I would have to boot
from live cd to try and reinstall Ubuntu Studio again.

The reason this is not working is the gnome-software you are running is
not the process that actually shows the package. You will already have
gnome-software running so it just passes the string to the existing
process. Since this process is probably running in your home directory
it doesn't work
Note that --local-filename=~/filename.deb doesn't work because '~' is a
shell expansion that doesn't occur. It would have been substituted if
the command line was --local-filename ~/filename.deb.

simosx, Super+A/F/M/C/V are not adapted and do not work in Russian
Layout. I even tried Greek and they do not work in Greek as well.
Another example is Ctrl+Q. Open unity-control-center and try Ctrl+Q in
English and Greek. In Greek it won't work. In English it will close and
app.

I spent most of the day last weekend re-writing my sdcard over and over
again trying to come up with some magic apt-get upgrade combination that
didn't brick the pi. I ended up accidentally overwriting a card I have
stuff I care about on. I want to personally thank whoever added the code
that

Yes, but with ASPM disabled unfortunately even ASPT doesn't help enough.

It would be good if the legacy drivers (nvidia-367) were reinstated and
not made transitional. Maybe they should be named appropriately to
reflect that they should only be used for grid GPUs or that they are
legacy - `nvidia-grid`/`nvidia-grid-legacy`.
