package avahi-daemon 0.6.32~rc+dfsg-1ubuntu2.2 failed to
install/upgrade: subprocess installed
Public bug reported:
couldnt update ubuntu
ProblemType: Package
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 16.04
Package: avahi-daemon 0.6.32~rc+dfsg-1ubuntu2.2
ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 4.15.0-34.37~16.04.1-generic 4.15.18
Uname: Linux 4.15.0-34-generic x86_64
ApportVersion: 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.18
Architecture:
I did some of the MIR checks that I considered required for the case
(e.g. is the packaging of the separated code ok and such), but all were
ok to me.
Since this is supposed to be a server package I can not self-approve, but also
as outlined I'd at least want a quick ack by the Security Team.
I only wish that the developers would clearly mark this as "won't fix" instead
of promising to change it somewhere in the next decade.
Nowadays, user's home directory should be something different from what $HOME
points to. The latter is for configs, autogenerated files and junk, just like
it
** Description changed:
+ 1. Availability:
+ The package is already in the Ubuntu universe, and builds for amd64
+ (arch=all package), see [1].
+
+ 2. Rationale:
+ This formerly was part of the ruby [2] packages which are in main.
There is a userbase relying on it, but due to this part of it

>From what I can tell ndctl 61.2-0ubuntu1~18.04.1 is a candidate for
release into bionic-updates, but from the commentary here it is unclear
whether it is worth releasing that or whether we should wait for a v62

Should we release ndctl 61.2-0ubuntu1~18.04.1 into bionic-updates?

So: You need to "try to save" twice before the bug triggers. Maybe it's not so
