I have now reverted all the way back to the kernel I use on 18.04 (4.15) and the issue still happens. The accelerometer position in both 18.04 and 19.04 (/sys/devices/platform/lis3lv02d/) read the same. Attached is a video of the moment when the flip occurs, just before the desktop loads. Sorry

Same problem there, also Dell M4800, I am using latest ubuntu 18.10 and it was working until I installed latest nvidia-driver-418. I do not why. There is suspicious message in dmesg. (If I uninstall the nvidia driver it is still not working and reinstalling of alsa-driver also did not help.) [
