Hello
Initially the EFI partition numbered 2 was on disk 0 and the ubuntu partition
numbered 22 was on the same disk.
I duplicated the EFI partition on an external drive. At boot there is
the following error
Error: No such partition
entering rescue mode
grub rescue>

I've tried with Ubuntu 18. Even worse. Instead of GRUB, Apple's "Boot Recovery
Assistant" kicks in saying that, in order to boot from the chosen media, a
software update is needed.
And even in the case when you opt for the software update, upon next reboot
nothing changes. The Boot

use journalctl -b 1 command, it is boot up normaly

use journalctl -b 2 command, it is boot up failer.

I update ubuntu by software-updater.
I update kernel 5.0.0-25, and reboot ubuntu system,
but startup purple screen blink for ever,and could not login.
I reboot kernel 5.0.0-23(before kernel), and login.
as kernel 5.0.0-23, sometime same event occured,
but I reset PC, next

I can't believe this bug is still open. The report goes back more than
10 years.
Also the duplicate (bug 4286) mentioned above is incorrect, it points an
avifile issue.
This is a incredibly high security issue that should be fixed
immediately. Not only all the examples mentioned above by meany
IS this fix now implemented to the latest ISO available for download?
