same Yaru theme on 19.04 I presume. And I don't think it's a bug in
gnome-shell or hardware related.
Upstream adwaita-icon-theme added some fixes some time ago to the legacy
battery icons (by now there are new battery icons)

That doesn't make sense in a POSIX environment, as the directory ~/test
already exists in your $HOME directory;

For WSL2:
I have installed systemd-genie (an initial namespace pid starting
