I'm experiencing a 50-second hang each time I resume from a "deep"
(suspend-to-RAM) sleep.
It happens with the newer kernel (5.3 series; I'm currently running the
version from eoan-proposed), but not with the version from the Ubuntu
18.04.3 LTS
Well may be grub_linuxefi_secure_validate() should still return 1 as
intended by this code to skip validation in some cases but then
chainloader should not depend on this value.
I hope grub2 package maintainers will find some time to take a look at
this.

Danke für die Antwort, leider fällt es mir schwer, auf Englisch zu
antworten, und erst recht einen Bug zu beschreiben.
Ich glaube dennoch, dass es sich um einen solchen handelt, weil ich die gleiche
Druckerkonfiguration wie unter 18.04 durchgeführt habe, dort aber diese
Probleme nicht hatte.
The journal logs from yesterday should still be available in journalctl
/gnome-logs, maybe you can look there if there are warnings around the
time you had the issue?
