With version 1.x of fonts-3270, the font looked good in gnome-terminal.
This is what was available in Ubuntu 16.04 and 18.04.
With version 2.x of this, the fonts have changed, and are HORRIBLE
looking. The sizing of the individual letters and numbers is jumbled
somehow.
Downloaded and checked the libfprint source in
1:1.90.2+tod1-0ubuntu1~20.04.2 in proposed, and 0xE9 and 0xDF had indeed
been added to lifprint/drivers/synaptics/synaptics.c

Any chances that the patch will be included into ubuntu mainline kernel build?
(something go wrong when I attempting to boot from the patched kernel: in the
very start says "Loading initial ramdisk" and hangs
... but:
have to modprobe -r and modprobe i2c_hid again, to get the touchpad working.

I change grub 2.04 paramater to add nomodeset.
but nothing occure.
I boot up ubuntu-20.04.1 usb,
then I challenge boot up ubuntu-20.04.1 iso from disk,
grub 2.04 linux line add to nomodeset.

Sure. I'll send dmesg to you once the issue is triggered.
The audio doesn't cause function issue. The only problem is that
sometimes volume control keys don't work but I doubt if its related to
the error. I just think since it's a LTS version, might as well submit
patches that fix the audio error
