In order to see the VLC gui window again you have to do:
ps aux | grep vlc
then
kill -9 followed by the processid
When you then open the dash menu and click VLC the window appears.

first copy of a CD-audio burn result in tracks with complete silence.
This happens whether we do one burn operation with "Copies"
In my case, this doesn't all applications.
These applications work ok:
Thunderbird, GnuCash, LibreOffice, Virt Mananger
These applications can't be moved / resized without the super key pressed or
right clicking on window title bar:

That's an old bug but it's still valid one. I was looking around the
code to see if that's maybe some simple bug that I can fix ad-hoc but I
come to conclusion that there is quite a bit of code missing. The GTK
version have support for functions that are lacking in KDE. So it's more

I can second this exact issue.
Perhaps related to this, my touchpad settings (tab to click and edge scrolling)
are not working.
Changing them gnome preferences panel has no effect.
