sorry, I retract that. The problem is that ubuntu updated my kernel without my
knowledge,
replacing the correctly patched kernel with the broken one (that both have the
same numbers!)

I recently installed ubuntu 20.04 GNOME and noticed that video playback
lags with resolution above and equal to 720p. The video lags the audio
and frame rate drops (seemingly from 30/60 fps to around 10 fps). In
standard definition , there are no such frame drops.

I believe I am experiencing this on 20.04

The problem seems to be that gdm-wait-for-drm doesn't work for (muxless)
dual GPU laptops when using the dGPU.
GDM will start when only card1 is available, *both* card0 and card1 need
to be available
This bug was fixed in the package sosreport - 4.1-1ubuntu1.1
