Title:
The issue is that reading the interface provides a weird kernel looking
error on an invalid address and the fact that the kernel is trapping
this and shoving a kernel error message into a proc text file looks
plain bad and can concern users who read these files.

This has been reported in the ISO tracker as affecting the 18.04.6
candidate images (20210913):
http://iso.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/426/builds/236713/testcases
The reported issue happens on bare metal. In QEMU/KVM the 20210913
bionic-live-server-amd64 images work fine with secureboot
This is not an issue in later Ubuntu releases due to a behavior change
in python itself: it will apparently now fall back to C.UTF-8 if the
locale is invalid.

Hello Timo, or anyone else affected,
Accepted linux-firmware into focal-proposed. The package will build now
and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-
firmware/1.187.17 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.
Please help us by testing this new package. See
(ubiquity should be setting up the locale properly before this point;
but ubuntu-drivers shouldn't be crashing either.)
** Summary changed:
- ubuntu-drivers crashes due to click when ubiquity runs the Polish language
(locale)
+ ubuntu-drivers crashes in python3-click when ubiquity runs the
PR for proposed solution. https://github.com/tseliot/ubuntu-drivers-
common/pull/57
