I was having this same issue with the Precise beta. I uninstalled and
reinstalled apparmor and the problem seems to have gone away (for now).

Thanks to MacUntu over in the Ubuntu forums, I've learned the offending
key is probably: ca.desrt.dconf-editor.Settings width. Setting the
height setting to an overly large value might also generate the same
results, though I haven't tried it.

Just tested and found that acpi=off lets me boot the 3.2.0-6 too - and
it works fine with the nvidia-current drivers. Too bad it means my
i980x is treated single-core.
I'm not sure you'll find the trouble in a diff of the more recent
mainline configs - both mainline rc5 and rc6 don't work for me
Ignore #4. I discovered that due to the recent Precise changes, it was
trying to log into G Talk twice. Once with the ID/email I had
originally configured, and again with the ID/email that is primary for
my Google account.

I don't see which hardware you're using. Can you tell us what kind of
nVidia card you have? Mine's a Pny GTX 560 Ti.

Confirming here. I noticed my desktop system had done this last night.
I booted it up and was away for a couple of hours to find it had
hibernated again.
I checked my settings and they were set to "Don't Suspend". The "When
power is critically low " dropdown setting was showing a blank value, as

Yours actually renders better than on my systems. On mine, I can see
the whole icon... but with a big gray background - and it covers up
other items on the notifications panel. Other white-listed apps show
the same behavior... though their icons tend to be the proper size.

There appears to have been a regression and I'm now seeing the same
errors as Jeremy in Oneiric with my Logitech QC 9000 Pro.

Is there a way to override the libpurple key without recompiling? Seems
like the best fix would to update libpurple to make that possible and
have the install process generate a unique key for each machine.

the menu is open before finding this report. Looks like the same

BTW, this was tested with the current Kubuntu Oneiric beta using plasma-
widget-folder version 4:4.6.3-1ubuntu1... though I know this bug has
been present in the previous version as well.

I believe you are correct in that I'm running into a separate bug. I
will follow your suggestion to check the 3.0 kernel and see if it still
exhibits the problem. If so, I will open a separate bug and try to
gather some diagnostics for the linux-usb guys/gals.

Reverting that patch did not fix the problem on my machine. :\
My problems not just limited to USB3 ports. USB2 ports, like the one my
keyboards connected to, don't work at all with the current kernel (and
thus I'm back on 2.6.39-0 again).
