There was an old manual installation. Having the path with the right

Sorry guys, I don't have that machine with SiS driver onboard anymore.

I had some other problems in karmic when using KDE with humanity icon,
but the sound/mixer icon was ok.
The arrows and + icon were kind of broken in KDE for 9.10, but in
10.04 this issue is gone.

Hi, the following command fixed this issue for me:

I am using the latest ubuntu 10.04 alpha 3 and I can still see this
problem. It is very slow and processors get busy when changing the
brighness level. I had to deactivate the Dim display when idle option
because of that.

The importance of this Bug should be high. If an end user does
logout/logoff he/she can not get back (Just if restarts KDM manually,
what is a big inconvenience and an end user will not know how to do
that).

Again, it might actually be a driver issue, after all there is and error
according with lox X, but GDM seems to be working fine against this
issue and the same does not happen for KDM in Kubuntu 9.04.

When I do a log off of the section, KDM and X do not come back. It is
necessary logging in the Command Line Interface and restarting KDM
manually, after that KDM and X come back.
This has worked from Kubuntu 6.06 until Kubuntu 8.10 and now it does not
work anymore.

Hi, I tried again and Hibernate is working.
The issue now is only related to Suspend. The problem is that pm-
suspend command does not show anything, it just suspend the system and
them when I turn back a black screen is showed up and nothing happens.

Exactly, this is another bug. Using WEP/ASCII key I can not connect

Knetwork manager does
I've just tested Kubuntu 8.10 Alpha5 LiveCD and Kubuntu 8.10 Beta LiveCD
and and the brightness keys are now working, but there is a slow down to
apply the brightness change. Regardless this slow down, it is working.
