Sorry guys, was busy and forgot about that issue...
I've moved to 13.10 since last report, the problem is still here.
I have the OKI printer connected through a cheap USB hub and DYMO labelwriter
directly to the PC.
That's exactly the same configuration as I had before upgraded to 13.04, which
Hi,
Following is the tail of the syslog with printouts from the prints session.
It took a while to reproduce, the log includes 2 successful prints on the DYMO
printer, the 3'rd was cut again and than restarted from the middle of the
sticker.
The OKI printer wasn't stuck this time...

While typing here, there was another label printed by the DYMO printer,
probably one that was stuck after the problem, here's the syslog again
with all the information...

Disconnected both OKI and DYMO printers, syslog shows:
Thanks for the attention to that issue Quinn.
Solution will allow me to go back to my usual working routine.
Let me know if I can help somehow.

Tried to print a JPG image to both of the printers several times at about the

The DYMO printer spitted the labels pretty fast without a problem, while the

Oh, and something I didn't mention, the PDF files are printed from the command

Now that I know that image viewer prints ok on both of the printers I've
tried to print JPG image on both of them from that application.
Same problem, the DYMO spit about 1/4 of the sticker and the job was placed on

After moving my business environment to 13.04 I suffer from long delays
between prints to DYMO LabelWriter 450 labels printer.
The delay is about 7 seconds, which is pretty annoying when many labels
have to be printed.
I see similar delays when printing to OKI B410d
Public bug reported:
I have 2 printers attached to my work station: DYMO LabelWriter 450 for
printing labels and OKI B410d for printing invoices.
My business environment sends 2 jobs at about the same time, one to print a

After moving to 13.04 sometimes I

I'm not sure those are duplicate since the symptoms are different, but
it could be that both of the problems are created when trying to solve a

You

delay between sequential prints.

Another symptom, probably the same problem:
The OKI printer's jobs are not coming out.
In printer's queue the job is shown as Processing - Not connected?, while the
printer is online.
Attached log with save debug information for troubleshooting is

Not my lucky day... Printing next jobs sequence printed 1/4 of the label on

Thanks everybody, working great.
That's what I love in Linux / Open source world - the collaboration :)

Title:
laser printer only prints first
Hi guys,
I want to report that I have VERY similar problem with my OKI B410D printer
after upgrade to 11.10 from 11.04.
On 11.01 everything worked fine.
I've tried already different drivers, the recommended one, the one that is
provided by OKI and the proposed here hpijs/pcl5e driver.
All have
Thanks Guido,
I've posted my logs in your submitted bug #872483.
Till,
I don't think this bug is fixed as you changed the status here.
Is there a way to reset the USB connection manually (instead of turning
the printer off-on) so next job will be printed ok?
Thanks

I'll be happy to try the patches, but my kernel is 3.0.0-12, while the
patches are for 3.0.0-13.
Just updated with apt, there was no kernel updates there.

The patch doesn't help in my case.
My printers are properly recognized, so that's probably a different
issue.

Anybody knows if it's possible to reset USB connection from command

Turning the printer off and on after every print job is a very bad solution for

Looks like disconnecting USB cable and reconnecting again have the same effect
as off/on, so I
I've tried, see post #18

Ok, found how to reset the USB port:

It helps as a workaround until a fix will be found.
Now I just need to find how to run it automatically after every print job.
Any ideas?

Not sure that's the best solution for everybody, especially those who
are not affected by the problem we've reported.
I can't measure it, but I think the reset cause a delay before the job is
actually printed out.
I mean by printing doc1, reset, printing doc2 creates few seconds delay between
