So apparently this was intentional. I have to say I disagree with the
way we've gone about this. Tangerine is supposed to be an orange-ified
version of Tango. If we want an orange-ified version of GNOME, we should
make another icon theme.

GtkTreeView scrolling is very streaky as of Gutsy

does not work, and the authors make no lies about whole thing being beta

This happens in Gutsy. The default aliasing for Monospace is to DejaVu
Sans Mono.
The replacement is pretty catastrophically thin and small.
